John Mensah�s reported move to Asante Kotoko has turned out to be hoax.
The news went viral on social media on Sunday that 31-year-old has signed a long term deal with the Ghanaian powerhouse, which was carried by the country�s number one football outlet.
However GHANAsoccernet.com has been inundated with several calls from Kotoko officials who have denied the report claiming it�s far from the truth.
The ex-Ghana captain has been without a club since leaving French side Rennes at the end of last season.
The rugged centre-back is eager to return to the pitch to see if he can gatecrash Ghana�s World Cup squad.
