Ken Informed Some Party Leaders Before Coming Out Publicly To Attack Arthur K

Former flagbearer aspirant and leading member of the opposition New Patriotic Party, Arthur Kennedy has revealed that, self-imposed financier of the party, Kennedy Agyapong officially informed some party leaders of the misappropriation of funds by the incumbent chairman, Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey. According to him, the Assin Central Member of Parliament met with the 2008 and 2012 NPP presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the United Kingdom (UK) to inform him about the alleged corrupt practices of the former Campaign Manager of Ex-President John Kufuor. He also noted that, before that, Kennedy Agyapong had already met with some home-based NPP leaders to notify them. I also met with Ken in USA during the NPP congress and we discussed about so many things. He has already informed some party leaders about this corrupt allegation including the 2012 presidential candidate (Nana Addo). ...he never heard any fruitful responses from the party leaders so that triggered him to come out publicly to attack, he said. Kennedy Agyapong in recent time has called Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey and his allies thieves. He claimed the executives hoarded dozens of motorbikes and other materials he personally imported to boost the NPPs 2012 campaign. He also alleges that the NPP national executives are now releasing and distributing the bikes toward boosting their individual chances ahead of the partys forthcoming national election in March. To him, none of the current fraudulent executives deserved a re-election. Ken also on NEAT FM threatened to devote US$20 million towards forming his own political party to dilute the NPPs chances of regaining power in the 2016 elections, if Jake retains his position . Though the NPP MP has vowed not to appear before the disciplinary committee, Arthur Kennedy on Asempa FM believes the issue at hand is beyond the committee. I dont think the issue belongs to the disciplinary committee because the committee is constituted by the national executives. The party must appoint someone who is much more respected and above the national chairman to investigate the allegation. The issue must be channeled to the Council of Elders to investigate, he opined.
