Rev. Bosomtwe Ayensu Is A Known NPP Man - NDC's Nkansah Claims

Deputy Propaganda Secretary of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Solomon Nkansah is alleging that the Obuasi Diocese Methodist Bishop who chided government for making life unbearable for Ghanaians is a "known member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP). He said the Bishop's comment does not come to him as a surprise because he (Rt. Rev. Stephen Bosomtwe Ayensu) has been very critical of the NDC since it came to power in 2009. Solomon Nkansah made the claim while reacting to concerns raised by the Methodist Bishop about the performance of President John Mahama. Rt. Rev. Stephen Bosomtwe Ayensu in an interview on Adom FM's Dwaso Ns?m programme said the Mahama-led government is dull and insensitive to the plight of Ghanaians whom he said are reeling under harsh economic conditions. The Methodist Bishop, frustrated by what he described as the worsening socio-economic conditions in the country, urged President Mahama to as a matter of urgency step up his game and bring relief to Ghanaians. But speaking on Asempa FMs Ekosii Sen programme on Friday, Solomon Nkansah alleged that Rt. Rev. Bosomtwe Ayensu is one of the people poached by the NPP to sink NDC. According to him, since the NPP has lost credibility in the Ghanaian body politic, it needs opinion leaders and respected people in the country to prosecute its agenda against government. The NDC Propaganda Secretary who claims to know Rev. Bosomtwe Ayensu at Shama in the Western region, stated emphatically that, he [Bosomtwi Ayensu] is a known NPP member in cassock. This pastor always criticizes the NDC irrespective of where he finds himself. Even at a funeral of his in-law, which I attended together with some Minister of State, Rev. Bosomtwi Ayensu criticized government he added. Solomon Nkansah said government is unperturbed by the machinations of the NPP, but will remain focused to fulfill the Better Ghana Agenda promise it made to Ghanaians.
