Ayittey Powers Invokes TB Joshua In Mega Fight Against Bukom Banku

Ghanaians will on April 26, 2014 witness the much-awaited fight between Brimah Issah Kamoko, also known as Bukom Banku, and Ayittey Powers at a yet-to-be-announced venue in Accra. The two loud-mouthed boxers have been engaging in media war over the past months but on Wednesday, February 6, 2014, Box Office Promotions secured the signature of the two for a non-title fight. Boxing organisations are being spoken to to sanction the bout, says Box Office Promotions. Addressing the gathering during the signing ceremony at the Accra Sports Stadium, Bukom Banku threatened to stop the Australia-based Powers in Round Seven. He revealed that he has been promised a special package by President John Dramani Mahama to beat Powers. He, therefore, assured the president he will not disappoint him. On his part, Ayittey Powers claimed the verbose Banku has been making fun of his faith in Nigerian Prophet T.B Joshua and so will stop the undefeated light heavyweight boxer "in the name of Jesus". Ability without mentality is barbarism, he told his opponent, who recently parted company with managers Golden Mike Promotions. Banku, 33, is undefeated in 26 fights with 20KOs while Powers has lost 23 times in 42 fights. Both boxers will share GH40,000 from fight proceeds.
