Komla Dumor Remains Komla Dumor

On Monday, the body of our friend, brother and colleague, Komla Afeke Dumor was brought back home from the United Kingdom (UK) on board a British Airways (BA) flight, to embark on his final journey to meet his maker, who called him on Saturday, January 18, 2014. As unfortunate as his passing was, as it was timely at such a prime age of 41, we cannot but say, his, was a life well lived. Watching Television footages from the Kotoka International Airport (KIA), before, when and after the arrival of his body, the show of love that was displayed there, showed that the man touched the lives of millions of people across the length and breadth of this country. Ghanaians and the world have indeed shown that good works pay. How many of us alive and those who passed on will get the pouring of love through the tributes we have read and seen from people across the globe, from business tycoons, to Presidents to the ordinary man on the street. Komla Afeke Dumor, cannot be compared to anybody in this world, he was Komla and will remain one of the greatest icons, as far as journalism in this country is concern. He was a gift from his family to us and ours to the world. His family has suffered a loss, so were all of us, we can only hope and pray that they do not be despair and waiver in their believe and love for God. In the end as we witness on Monday night, it is not how long we live on this earth, but how well our lives touched people both far and beyond, and Komla did touch many lives. Once again, may his soul and the soul of many of our people rest in perfect peace. Till we meet again
