The Ghana Police Service has refuted claims that there is apathy and uneasiness in the service, following recent transfers of some top officers by the administration. Reports were rife that the transfer of some eight regional commanders to different posts is generating an indifferent attitude and apprehension in the service. But in an interview with Citi News, Director of Public Administration of the Ghana Police Service, DSP Cephas Arthur, denied the report. �I don�t know where that allegation is coming from, that since the re-posting of eight command officers there is apathy; that is not true at all.�� According to him, police officers know that transfers are part of policing. �� They are part of the administrative activities of the police service, so every police office, both senior and junior rank knows that postings are part of policing; a routine practice of the service.�� He rather explained that when officers are moved around there is no bad blood at all.
