NPP Is Going For A Spiritual RevivalWithout Me Winning 2016 Election Will Be Difficult Paul Afoko

An aspirant for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Chairmanship position, Mr Paul Afoko has strongly posited that, the party does not stand a good chance of winning the presidential polls in 2016 without him as the National Chairman. According to him, the NPP two terms in opposition is Spiritual but he is be the chosen one to rescue the party from its psychic state. Without me, the NPP can win but it will be very difficult. There is something spiritual happening in NPPvery spiritual. 60 years ago there was a political party named (Northern Peoples Party, NPP) with wrong deeds and presently, we still have a NPP, he said. Mr. Afoko however noted that, NPPs affirmation to hold a centralized national delegates conference on April 12 this year in the northern region is to seek for spiritual mediation. We are going back to the north. We are going there for a spiritual renewal we are going to unite the spirit of our party. The Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition still exists. We are going to Dombos house. We the northerners believe in our ancestors, he stressed. Speaking on Asempa FM, Mr. Afoko assured that, After that renewal, the NPP will come back into an electoral battle come 2016 better prepared. He added that power is within our reach, and pointed out that majority of Ghanaians are yearning for NPP but cautioned that we must first recreate our story, repackage ourselves and rebuild a party that works for political power in 2016.
