RTU Auctions Team Bus To Solve Financial Problems

The management of Real Temale United is set to auction two of the team�s buses to settle outstanding debts owed the players, Ghanasportsonline exclusively can reveal. The auction will commence Monday and the club is calling on its supporters who have the financial muscle to troop to the team�s training grounds in Tamale Monday Morning to bid. In an exclusive telephone chat with Ghanasportsonline, Mr. Mohammed Iddi, the team manager of the club said, �You know we are in financial dire strait and we have no option than to auction two of our old buses.� �The first Bus referred to as �Gargo Bird� was bought with the transfer fee of Mohammed Gargo in the early 1990s whilst the second bus was bought for the club by former Vice President His Excellency Aliu Mahama.� �We are calling on the supporters of the club as well as the general public to come to the team�s training grounds Monday morning with cash to bid. The highest bidder will go home with the bus.� RTU team manager Mohammed Iddi who is also the elder brother of Hamaza Mohammed revealed to Ghanasportsonline. It will be recalled that players of RTU threatened to boycott the remaining Division One League matches if their outstanding salaries and bonuses were not paid.
