On Prez Mahamas Facebook Wall

On the face of economic challenges and depreciation of the cedi, President John Dramani Mahama has asked the nation to be united in facing those challenges since negative attitude will not help solve the situation. President Mahama in an interaction with the United Kingdoms International Development Minister, Lynne Featherstone on Tuesday, described the economic decline as short-term and called on all development partners to help us overcome the short-term challenges. President Mahama, at different occasions, has admitted that times are rough but in the same vein, very optimistic that things will get better. In a message written on his facebook wall, President Mahama commended wise politicians who are optimistic and hopeful that things will get better. I thank and salute the wise Ghanaian politicians who understand that the right attitude in such times is to assist the government and stop predicting disasters. Because, in a democratic country such as ours, the government is the people's government. It is your government. And it does everything necessary to lead our country and to attain the development goals it has announced. A nation has to be united when facing any kind of political or economic challenges, he wrote.
