Kufuors Criticisms Of Mahamas Handling Of Economy Hypocritical

A leading member of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) has lashed out at former President Kufuor for speaking ill about the Mahama-led administrations inability to tackle the present economic woes in the country saying Kufuors comment smacks of hypocrisy. To him, both the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) performed abysmally when given the opportunity to govern. The Former President, over the weekend, said the current economic hardship has left Ghanaians gnashing. Everywhere people are gnashing their teeth; they dont sleep well because as the dawn breaks on us, we wonder where we are going to get the chop money for our families, he said during the 1st graduation ceremony of Quickening Word Baptist Church International at Kasoa in the Central Region. Mr Kufuor also expressed worry over the high rate of graduate unemployment in the country under the Mahama government. Theres so much unemployment. Even when we are able to take our children through school and they pass successfully, they do not know where to get employment, JAK said. The former president argued that the recent letter written by the Armed Robbers Association of Ghana (ARAG) to the residents of Agape in Accra is because of the economic hardship and massive unemployment in the country. Clearly unhappy with the ex-Presidents comments, Deputy Communications Director of the CPP, Asani Tanoh slammed Mr Kufuor for his comments and wondered what better policies the two parties introduced during their tenure that benefitted Ghanaians when they steered the affairs of state. He opined on HotFM that Kufuors government did not fare any better than the current administration to warrant any criticize directed at the latter from the former. .If Ex-President Kufuor is saying these things in expectation that the public will laud him and the NPP for managing the economy well when they in power, then he is making an obvious mistake.because theres not much difference between these two parties (NDC & NPP).they both churned out the same ideologies that did not help move the country forward.i find Kufuors comment on Ghanas economy highly hypocritical, he said.
