Parliamentarians have been banned from using the term �Tweaa� on the floor of the House during official parliamentary proceedings. The term �Tweaa� became popular in Ghana after Mr. Gabriel Barima, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ahafo Ano South in the Ashanti Region, was captured in a video reacting angrily to a comment he heard when he was delivering a speech at a gathering with hospital employees in his District. �Who said tweaa?� the fuming DCE queried and immediately stopped addressing the gathering; indicating that the person who made the comment was not his �co-equal.� The video became very popular on social media and is now on the lips of every Ghanaian; young and old. However, Speaker of Parliament Mr Edward Doe Adjaho says the use of the term �tweaa� is �unparliamentary� and has banned parliamentarians from using it during proceedings in the house. The issue came up after Member of Parliament (MP) for Subin, Mr. Isaac Osei (NPP) sought to find out if the term could be used in the house since it has gained popularity.
