Global Media Alliance, CEIBS Launch First-Ever Leadership Progam For Media Practitioners

Global Media Alliance, in partnership with the China Europe International Business School has launched the �Advanced Leadership Program in Media and Entertainment Management�- the first of its kind in Africa- to equip professionals working in all areas of the media and entertainment industries with practical skills to match new trends emerging in both industries. The program aims at grooming these practitioners, and equipping them with strong management, leadership and relevant business tools and skills to attain excellence in their various fields of endeavors in the ever-changing world of media and business. Professor Mathew Tsamenyi, programs Director of CEIBS noted at the launch that �We are in an ever changing competitive environment where the media organizations need to get and understand current management practice. This program seeks to develop competencies and skills of their employees and management to propel them to the next level. Professor Tsamenyi called on companies to sponsor their employees. He said �I will urge companies to sponsor their employees because this is an investment which will yield great returns for them. The structure of the program will develop competencies in different areas and will help put these organizations ahead of their competitors.� Mrs. Rosemond Aryeetey, Head of Corporate Communications at Global Media Alliance said �This program has been designed to fill a gaping void, as it is specifically designed to address the unique challenges media executives face in their day to day working lives, and proffer collaborative solutions that blends leadership and management principles with the realities of a super dynamic media environment.� She added that �This speed of advancement, naturally, calls for media executives to upgrade their knowledge and skills to remain relevant and stay abreast or ahead of the phenomenal changes we are witnessing�. Declaring the launch of the program, Mr. Nana Essilfie Conduah, a representative of the National Media Commission announced their endorsement and support for the Advanced Leadership Program. The first of the 3 module program will take place from 23rd April to 25th April. The module will focus on Media Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Service Marketing. The second module, �Leading people and Organizations� will begin from August 27 and end on August 29th while the final module, �Media Management Strategy� will span from November 26 to November 28.
