Kotoko Will Be In Africa Again Next Year - Board Chairman

Asante Kotoko board chairman Paul Adu-Gyamfi has called on the club's teeming fans to remain calm as the hierarchy tries to put measures in place to return the club to glory insisting that the record Ghana Champions will play in the CAF Champions League again next year. The Ghanaian champions shockingly crashed out of the competition following a 1-0 defeat to Barrack Young Controllers on Sunday bu the legal practitioner is adamant about calls for the club to quit playing in the continental cups for some time to concentrate on re-structurising the club. "I entreat all our fans to calm down and be behind the club in this pressing times because the loss to BYC is just one of those things that happens in football every now and then". Adu Gyamfi said. "I assure the supporters that we are putting measures in place and doing everything within our means to put the club back to where it belongs". "I also assure them that this loss in not going to let us down but urge us on to higher heights and I am very confident that we will be in Africa again next year and do well". "They must not forget that we have domestic competitions to fight for and we will not relent on that. We lead the league with a 7 point gap and that tells you that with a little effort, we will go to Africa next year" He added. The side have received massive flak for yet another disappointment in the Champions League following last seasons stutter to Algerian club JSM Bejaia.
