Ghana Better Than Portugal

Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Joseph Yammin says the Black Stars are better than their 2014 World Cup Group opponents, in terms of quality players. Hon Yammin believes Ghana have what it takes to progress from the proverbial Group of death in the summer soccer festival. We are better than our opponents. It is going to be us and one other country that will advance to the next stage. The only difference between our players and the others is when a player like Ronaldo scores it goes all over. Just last weekend, (Majeed) Waris hit a brace but only a few media outlets carried it. We are better player-for-player. Time will not permit me to describe our players quality. Gyan is ranked sixth best striker in the world, yet we do little for him publicity wise, unlike his foreign colleagues. If our players remain focused and committed as they have demonstrated in the qualifiers, I wouldnt be surprised to see Ghana go all the way to the final and lift the ultimate. It is possible. In football, anything can happen, but for some errors in previous World Cups, African countries like Cameroun, Senegal and Nigeria would have proved a point, he said on Asempa Sports. Ghana are pitted against USA, Portugal and Germany in Group G.
