President Mahama Tours Central Region

President John Dramani Mahama Thursday arrived at Ayamfuri as part of a two day working visit to the Central Region. Although residents of the coastal region are yet to witness the full realization of many government projects, the President will be inspecting these ongoing projects, cut sod for new ones and also commission completed ones. He will also be holding meetings with the fishing community at Elmina, chiefs and opinion leaders, and interact with students and authorities of the University of Education Winneba. Public Relations Officer for the Central Regional Coordinating council, Clement Kegeri, told Ultimate Radio, a highly enthused crowd turned out in their numbers to catch a glimpse at the President on his arrival. But Ultimate Radios Central Regional Correspondent reports that enthusiasm in the visit is low. Mr. Kegeri said after a durbar of chiefs at Ayemfori, he would move to Upper Dankyira East to Dunkwaw where he is expected to have interactions with people in the community. President Mahama will among other things be commissioning the Assin Praso Bridge that links the Ashanti Region to the Central Region. He will also inspect ongoing construction works at the Cape Coast stadium and the Kotokoraba Market. The President will also take some time off in the day to meet party members of the National Democratic Congress and inaugurate a new party office in Cape Coast.
