Pastor Orders Arrest Of Ushers Over Stolen Church Coins

Prophet Daniel Kwarteng popularly known as Agya Dan, the founder and Head Pastor of Atico-based Power Revelation Chapel in the Greater Accra region last Sunday caused the arrest of his two ushers for allegedly stealing coins from the church. According to a close associate of the pastor, Sampson and Gladys Emefa who serve as ushers in the church were immediately arrested by the Accra Central Police personnel after the pastor had suspected them of stealing the coins. The information said thieves broke into the church office where coins are kept and made away with coins worth over GH12,000.00. According to Gladys Emefa, a nursing mother and a victim, a month ago she had a quarrel with Francis Ankamah Annan her boyfriend and decided to quit the relationship. She said Annan upon hearing this, threatened to disgrace her if only she pursued her agenda. She told the paper that true to his words, Annan informed Agya Dan that Emefa his girlfriend has been stealing coins to the house. Sometime last week the man of God told them thieves broke into the church office and made away with some coins amounting to GH12,000.00 which was kept at the office. The man of God on hearing this information from Emefas former boyfriend suspected her of being the brain behind the theft. Emefa said as I was ushering the congregation into the church auditorium when two police personnel from the Greater Accra Regional Police Command picked me together with one Sampson and later the police arrested Ankamah too. She added that the pastor claimed because her former boyfriend accused her of stealing his money, she might be the one who broke into his office. When contacted on phone, the Head Pastor of Power Revelation Chapel, Agya Dan confirmed the incident of thieves breaking into his church.
