Mahama Breaks Ground On Monday For 1st Batch Of 50 Community High Schools

President John Mahama will on Monday perform a ground breaking ceremony in Nyanoa, near Adeiso in the Upper West Akyem District of the Eastern, for the start of work on the first batch of fifty (50) new Community Day Senior High Schools. This will be the first ever Senior High School constructed for the people of Nyanoa and 50 other such communities across the country. In his State of the Nation Address to Parliament last Tuesday, 25th February, President Mahama promised to cut the sod for the construction of the first 50 schools, as part of a total of 200 new Community Day Senior High Schools to be built across the nation. The new schools will help Government fulfill the objective of expanding and improving access to Secondary education. Government has secured funding for the new schools, and each project is expected to take 18 months to complete.
