President John Dramani Mahama has reshuffled Regional Ministers for the second time, sending them back to various regions where they were initially assigned to in 2013. A statement from the Flagstaff House and signed by the Spokesperson to the President, Ben Dotsei Malor, said the Regional Ministers are to report to their new regions by the 15th of March, 2014. Eric Opoku moves to Brong Ahafo from Ashanti while Samuel Sarpong goes to Ashanti from Central region. Helen Ntoso moves back to Volta from Eastern whiles Julius Debrah goes back to Eastern from Greater Accra. Bede Ziedeng goes back to the Upper West from Northern whiles Alhaji Limuna Muniru takes over at Northern Region from Upper East. Before going to Upper East in March 2013, Alhaji Muniru was a Minister of State at the Presidency. Dr. Ephraim Avea Nsoh also goes back to Upper East from Upper West and Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo goes back to Greater Accra from Volta. E. K. T. Addo goes back to Central from Western whiles Paul Evans Aidoo goes back to Western from Brong Ahafo. Before these Ministers were reshuffled for the first time in March last year, the Presidency explained the move was intended to foster national unity, integration and cohesion. This happened a little over two months into President Mahama's administration. The Presidency said the exercise was intended to ensure that regional ministers focused mainly on the political and technical coordination of the development efforts of metropolitan, municipal and district assemblies (MMDAs). But this time around, no explanation accompanied the statement that announced the reshuffle.
