What 'Tweaa' DCE Did More Serious Than Victoria Hammah's - Alhaji Bature

Managing Editor of the Al-Hajj newspaper, Alhaji Iddrisu Bature, has described the NDC Mahama led government as irresponsible for condoning the conduct of the Ahafo Ano South District Chief Executive by allowing him to still occupy his office following what he considers as his (DCEs) intolerable behavior. Though he believes Hon Gabriel Barimah, now popularly known as tweaa DCE is a fine gentleman his comportment and manners should have earned him a dismissal from office. He is an intelligent personvery knowledgeable but not fit to hold the office for even one day. That man (Hon Gabriel Barimah) is not fit to be a public officer for one day, he said. Though he After abandoning his speech while addressing some hospital workers in the Ahafo Ano District in the Ashanti Region, Gabriel Barima, was only reprimanded by the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development. President Mahama, who touched on the issue during his recent State of The Nation Address, observed that the DCE probably did not read the code of ethics for public officials. President Mahama noted that Mr Barima would not have behaved the way he did after he was heckled by a member of the audience if he had gone thoroughly through the code. The code of ethics enjoins every public official to display utmost courtesy and decorum when interacting with members of the public. But having been forgiven once, the Ahafo Ano South DCE compounded the situation when he told JOY NEWS in a recent interview that, how could have a lady in London heard of me. There are a lot of friends who have calling to congratulate me. I think it has boosted my morale and I have never regretted for the fact that people call me 'tweea'. Gabriel Barimah further asserted that, tweaa will even be more popular in 2016 when we (NDC) are holding elections. The interview has put him in trouble. Local Government Minister Akwasi Oppong-Fosu has issued a statement expressing disappointment about his latest comment. Akwasi Oppong-Fosu, in the said statement, indicated that Government intends reviewing its earlier forgiving posture of Hon Gabriel Barimah. His unabashed behaviour compelled Alhaji Bature to label the Mahama-led NDC government as irresponsible. Alahji Bature believes the magnitude of the DCEs tweaa statement pales in comparison with that of former Communication Minister, Victoria Hammahs 1million dollars saga. If you have any responsible governmentif this government (NDC) is very responsible, that man shouldnt be in office but yet they kept him there. What did she, (Victoria Hammah) do compare to what the DCE has done. Was she giving the benefit of doubt and right of hearing and so on?...How can the president representative behave that waythis is a disgrace not only to the president but to the nation as a whole, he said on Adom FM.
