UTV's Adekye Nsroma Takes Over Morning TV

Ghanas newest free-to-air television station, United Television (UTV) from last Monday February 24, started its morning show and the feedback is overwhelming, according to information reaching News One. The UTV morning show, known as Adekye Nsroma, within a week of its debut, has attracted the highest television viewership rating across the country, except places the station does not reach. Just a little over a year of operation, media surveys have rated UTV as the television station with the second largest audience in the country and the introduction of a morning show seems to be a strategic step to catapult the station to number one. The huge audience response with which Adekye Nsroma has been accepted within just a week of its introduction, has sent some envy-induced fear among managers of other stations who run similar morning shows. The purely Twi-based show, Adekye Nsroma, which airs between 6:00am 8:30am every weekday, is hosted by ace legal practitioner Tweneboah Koduah. The segments of the programme, for now, include a summary of the daily newspapers, news summaries, sports, current affairs analysis and entertainment; other segments would be added as time goes on. Lawyer Tweneboah Koduah also known as TK, has so far hosted some of the countrys best politicians on the Adekye Nsroma show since it started last Monday. Guests that have, to date, appeared on the show include the Minority Leader, Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu; deputy Minister of Chieftaincy and Traditional Affairs, John Alexander Ackon; MP for Ayawaso West, Emmanuel Boakye Agyarko; Ambassador-designate Sam P. Yalley; former Minister Steve Asamoah Boateng; former Minister of Local Government, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo among several others. UTV is from the stables of Despite Group of Companies, proud operators of Neat FM, Peace FM, www.peacefmonline.com, Okay FM, and Hello FM.
