Bonking Fake Soldier Jailed

A fake military officer Richard Osei Kuffour has been sentenced to 15 months� imprisonment by a Magistrate Court at Fomena. He was convicted on his own plea for pretending to be a public officer and possessing military accoutrement contrary to section 237 of Act 29/60 and section 4 (1) of NLCD (177) 105/1967 respectively. The trial judge, Eric Fiamobge said the conduct of the Richard was disrespectful to service personnel. Daily guide gathered that a police detective, who became suspicious of his uniform and movement, launched an investigation which led to his arrest. Richard refused to back off from a police vehicle and concentrate on his activity at Adansi Asokwa during police patrol duties last Friday. He insisted on boarding the vehicle after introducing himself as a sergeant in the Ghana Army and offered a helping hand to the police. The convict convinced some police officers in Obuasi to afford him special treatment and bonked several women. He also duped several people of various amounts of money. One Banson Obeng Boadi reported to police that the accused collected GH�1,000 from him under the pretext of helping him to be enlisted into the Ghana Immigration Service. Osei Kuffour was on the wanted list of the police at Obuasi after escaping arrest for a similar offence. He claimed to be a military sergeant with service number 190456 and stationed at Takoradi in the Western Region. The Bekwai Police re-arrested Richard Osei Kuffour for other fraud cases while being led out of the courtroom.
