What Is Jakes Beef If Ghanaians Rejected NPPs Old Man? - Yamoah Ponkoh

Ever since President Mahama disclosed that his administration intends implementing free Senior High School project progressively in 2016, he has never had his peace of mind. He has come under scathing attack from his political arch rivals who deem it unfair on his (Mahama's) part to kick against their 2012 campaign message and later turn around to project it as his own ahead of the 2016 general elections. The attack took a different dimension when Mr. Jake Obestebi Lamptey issued a statement and described President Mahama as a giggling teenager who spent ample time on Facebook instead of managing Ghanas economy. Disturbed by the comment, Hon. Yamoah Ponko stated that it was unwise for Mr. Obestebi Lamptey to say such things about President Mahama considering the fact that the mandate to rule is with the NDC. The Ejisu Juaben Municipal Chief Executive told Okay FM that such comments would never compel the electorate to vote for Nana Akufo Addo if this was what drove the NPPs Chairman to issue the statement. Ghanaians have given the president the mandate to rule and must be respected for that. Voters saw a picture of an older man and that of a youth on the ballot paper but they rejected the elderly man. After the NPP had lost that election, they went to court and lost there too. Now we have people like Jake talking in that manner and it is unfortunate. Elderly men dont talk like that and he must retract and apologize before Ghanaians get angry, Yamoah Ponko said.
