The subject about which political party is corrupt has for some time now taken center stage of every public discussion. Politicians affiliated to either the National Democratic Congress(NDC) or the New Patriotic Party(NPP)have spat venoms at each other and washed their dirty linen in public over the matter. Just recently, the Chairman of the NPP, Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey issued a statement describing the officials in the NDC as corrupt. He was never spared a night sleep and equal responses from the General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia trickled in and flooded the media. And as the debate stands, Yamoah Ponko of the NDC appears confused and has demanded to know which political party is most corrupt in Ghana. Although he is yet to receive an answer, he believes the New Patriotic Party is most corrupt. Speaking on Okay FM,the Municipal Chief Executive for Ejisu Juaben explained that the NPP members must stop disturbing the NDC with issues of corruptions since the latter has a social contract with Ghanaians to give them a better Ghana. He petitioned them to bring the issue of corruption up in 2015, when the country prepares to enter into an election year. He added that since that year would be ushering the nation into an election year, it would be proper to scrutinize it.
