NDC Register Members

The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) will start registering its members biometrically starting from April, this year. The General Secretary of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, said the mass registration process is expected to be completed by the end of April across the country. Starting on March 19, the NDC would start training people that would take charge of the registration process, and it will end by end of March, he said. According to him, the cards would be issued to millions of NDC members in the country in May, 2014. Asiedu Nketia, in an interview with Kessben FM, disclosed that the party would announce processes for its polls after the cards had been issued to partys members. He was of the conviction that the registration of the partys members would make the impending NDC polls peaceful. The NDC Scribe said the biometric registration would prevent non-NDC members from taking part in the polls. The General Secretary said with the biometric registration, NPP members would not be able to peddle falsehood that NDC members had defected to their party. He noted that the registration would help the NDC members to have a common identity.
