Alhaji Mohammed Limuna Muniru, the Northern Regional Minister, has called on chiefs in the Northern Region to expose the hypocrites who were the brains behind most of the protracted conflicts in the area. He said the perpetrators usually engaged in petty lies and deceit, which resulted in causing disaffection among individuals and groups resulting in conflicts saying �We must expose them to make the region peaceful and governable�. Alhaji Muniru made the call in Tamale on Thursday when he paid courtesy calls on some chiefs in the Tamale Metropolis where he appealed to the traditional rulers to collaborate with him to steer the affairs of the area peacefully to the benefit of the people. The chiefs he visited included the Gulkpe Naa Alhassan Abdulai, Dakpema Naa Alhassan Mohammed Dawuni, Lamashiegu Naa Alhaji Ziblim Abdulai, Banvim Naa Abdulai Mahamadu and Sagnarigu Naa Abdulai Yakubu Andani. Alhaji Muniru appealed to the chiefs to ignore hearsay and to cross-check facts before reacting to issues otherwise they might take actions unjustifiably. He appealed to the chiefs to continue to unite for peace in the Northern Region to promote development noting that peace was very paramount to development of every society without which progress could not be made. All the chiefs in one accord pledged to work and corroborate with the Regional Minister. Alhaji Muniru also visited some mosques in the Tamale Metropolis and called for support of the religious leaders in his administration.
