Nana Addo Likely To Win Flagbearership Race. But 2016 Will Be Difficult For NPP

Taking into consideration the popularity and the open endorsement by leading figures within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the retaining of the twice defeated Presidential Candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo as the partys Flagbearer, a National Youth Organizer aspirant is certain he (Nana Addo) is ahead of his contenders and likely to win the primaries. Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, last Thursday, officially declared his intention to make a third bid at the presidency of Ghana. The 2012 Flagbearer of the main opposition NPP said he is looking forward to contesting the NPP's presidential primaries when nominations open. the message was unanimous; they all urged me to remain in frontline politics and to seek the candidacy of my party for the 2016 presidential election of Ghana..I want to be part of winning the next challenge: which is to build a modern, industrialized society in Ghana, where every citizen has the opportunity to prosper. This is the driving force of my life. I will stay true to what I believe in, no matter the pressures to do what is convenient..I shall be ready when the nominations are opened, he stated. And Michael Kwabena Ampong, who is concerned about the challenge ahead of the NPP in the 2016 elections, reminded party faithfuls to take serious action to deal with the machinery that will carry the message and the candidate to Ghanaians. He stressed that the essence of a political activity is to win power and so to him, every activity of the NPP should be geared towards a 7th January 2017 victory, admitting though that 2016 elections will be herculean since President Mahama still has the chance to contest. ..2016 elections will be very herculean and it will be the most difficult elections ever..yes Nana Addo is likely to win the Flagbearership, as it stands now, I can say that he is the most popular among any other contenders in the race, but the main challenge will be the 2016 elections and that is what we should be looking at if indeed the party is serious to win the 2016 elections, he stated. Eager to see NPP in power in 2017, the aspiring Youth Organizer hinted to the rank and file of the party to tackle the problem of the partys machinery as it is the only means of securing victory for the party. ..It shouldnt be just talking, songs or complains or even lamenting but the problem has to do with the machinery; after our primaries, we should focus more on the partys machinery, strategy and organization because whether we like or not, 2016 elections is going to be a difficult elections but not impossible.we need a strong machinery to carry the message and the messenger to Ghanaians, he reminded.
