Toddler age is a period of wonder, humor and meltdowns over gloves and noodles. Infancy, is a period where if you don�t or can�t find the humor in all the little things that can go wrong in a day you will end up crying in the corner. Interestingly, the Central Regional Communications Director of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) has survived the toddler years, lend wisdom and humor to the generation below him but yet sees himself as a yearling. According to Bernard Allotey Jacobs, if two-time presidential candidate of the main opposition New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo-Addo who recently decided to run again for President on the ticket of the NPP says he is still �young� at 70-plus, then he (Allotey) is a �toddler�. Allotey made the comment while discussing Akufo-Addo�s chances of winning the 2016 elections, should he win the party�s presidential primaries. Speaking on NEAT FM�s Me Man Nti, Allotey Jacobs now known as the �Toddler� described Nana Akufo-Addo as a statesman and therefore any attempt to get him to lead the NPP in 2016 will be politically suicidal. �He (Nana Addo) should bow out from any presidential race, sit behind to direct and redirect the cause of the very party that he stood for. But he is rather telling us that, he is a 70 year old young man. If Nana Addo is 70 years and a young man�then I am still a toddler. We will see who is who in 2016,� he said. He urged Akufo-Addo not to allow the �sycophants and hypocrites around him, who only think about their parochial interest, to influence you�. �It will be better for him (Nana) to go to bed with the highly profiled certificate of statesmanship he has earned than to contest again in 2016,� he added. To him, the 2012 NPP flagbearer has a �virus� which is manipulating him to pay no attention to sound counsel. �Akufo-Addo is a grown up person but he don�t listen to advice. He is resistant to advice. There is a virus in him and those political viruses are resistant to advice. He said God told him to contest again�but he should know that he can�t use God�s name to tell lies. He can�t lie with the name of the Lord, 2016 shall be the reckoning day that if God has chosen him to be the leader of this country, we shall see,� he said.
