NDC Zongo Caucus Preparing Towards 2016 Elections

The National Executive Council of the Zongo Caucus of the National Democratic Congress on Saturday held a special meeting aimed at revitalizing the caucus in readiness for the 2016 elections. A statement signed by Alhaji Alhassan Bene, National Secretary of the Zongo Caucus and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Sunday said, measures taken includes the setting up of additional constituency offices across the country and the holding of elections to elect its officers. It said: This line of action is to serve as a vital input towards the impending NDC regional elections. The caucus expressed its sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Muslim community in Ghana for the magnanimous support it gave the NDC during the 2012 general elections. It said: The caucus takes the recent incident at Afienya between Muslims as unfortunate and uncalled for and expressed the hope and wish that the incident is resolved amicably.
