Genuflection or bowing of the knee is regarded as a sign of great respect shown to an elderly. However, it is permissible to bow when meeting someone, whether the person is a scholar or a distinguished personality. But most often, such gestures are barely practiced among Ghanaians politicians because; each regards him or herself as a �guru� in the game of politics. Nevertheless, two-time presidential candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), over the weekend, publicly displayed such gesture to the party�s former leader, Ex-President John Agyekum Kufour. Despite accusations that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is �arrogant�, he showed that a natural-born leader knows how to bow down before his political elder irrespective of their differences.
