NPP Members Turn Against Nana Addo?..."He Is A Damaged Commodity - They Say

Ghanas political game has normally been one which frequently features exchange of tirades between the two major political parties. Chancing upon a headline like Nana Addo is a damaged commodity could have easily lured any National Patriotic Party member to first blame the National Democratic Congress. But it appears one will be wrong to make such presumptions as it has come to fore that certain factions within the NPP have geared up to tarnish Nana Addos image. Nana Addo has been tipped to win the NPP primaries ahead of other contenders who have popped up. And also, a research by Ghanas renowned pollster, Ben Ephson, predicts that Nana Akufo Addo is poised to win the impending primaries and retain his position as flagbearer for the NPP. However, the man tipped to lead the NPP into battle in 2016, has been described as a damaged commodity by persons within the party believed to be on the side of other candidates. A revelation by a special aide to the General Secretary of the NPP has it that certain known people in the party have formed groups on social sites such as Whatsapp and Facebook; and all they do is to pour scorn on their 2012 flagbearer. In an interview with Okay FM, David Osei informed the station that he has copies of the messages and it hurts his heart that NPP members are using these tactics to create division amongst themselves. When you see the kind of things they have written on social media, you would wonder if they have respect for our elders. They have called Nana Addo a damage commodity and went further to label him an old dwarf. The funny aspect of this is that all those saying this belong to the camp of a particular candidate campaigning to be the next general secretary, he disclosed.
