There are several factors that could undermine the efficiency of any political party. Without the right team in place, it would have internal challenges and even crumble. And it is for this reason that Asamoah Gyamfi has predicted that Nana Akufo Addo would have difficulties working with persons perceived to be on the side of former President Kufour should he receive the mandate to lead the NPP in the 2016 elections. It is no more a perception that factions exist within the NPP and as the party prepares to elect new executives this weekend, the Enquirer Newspaper has it that former President Kufour is solidly behind Mr. Paul Afoko, Kwabena Agyepong, Otiko Djaba and John Boadu or Mocta Bamba for Chair, General Secretary, Women Organizer and National Organizer respectively. But Mr. Asamoah Gyamfi claims this practice was nothing new within the party as previous records show that since the party was established in 1992, aspiring presidential candidates and chief scribes have always come out with their preferred choices. He recounted on Okay FM that Prof. Adu Boahen once supported Peter Ala Adjetey as against former President Kufour�s choice; Mr. Obetsebi Lamptey and this brought no division within the party. Based on that Mr. Asamoah Gyamfi claims Mr. Kufour�s recent endorsement should not knock heads around within the NPP. He was however not happy with the posture of others who have shown bitterness because delegates are calling on Nana Akufo Addo to also endorse people he thinks he can work with best. He argues that it would be in the best interest of Nana Addo to identify people he can work with. �The reality is that if other candidates who are not on the side of Nana Addo win, things won�t be smooth for him�, he added.
