Mr. David Osei, a member of the campaign team of Mr. Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, a.k.a Sir John, the General Secretary of the opposition New patriotic Party (NPP) has advised Nana Ohene Ntow, also a member of the party to go to court if thinks the allegation leveled against him over some stolen cars was not true. In secret tape which was leaked to the media last week, Sir John was heard accusing Nana Ohene Ntow, a former General Secretary of the Party and former Chairman, Peter Mac Manu of taken away cars and other party properties before leaving office. Addressing constituency executives in Asante Akyem North as part of his campaign tour of the Ashanti region, Sir John chided his predecessors for �setting a bad precedent�. But Ohene Ntow described as �insidious and preposterous� the claims made by Sir John, claiming, it is intended to �tarnish our hard earned reputation�. He indicated that such unsubstantiated allegations will only come from someone, who lacks the campaign message to win the upcoming delegates� congress in Tamale. �Sir John should leave me alone and focus on his campaign because I�m not competing with him for the General Secretary position�, he stressed. Nana Ohene Ntow warned that if Sir John pushes him to the wall, he will be left with no other option but to open the Pandora box. He maintained that since Sir John assumed office as General Secretary of the party, he has not shown any leadership quality worth emulating by the youth in the party. �I don�t think party delegates should retain Sir John as General Secretary for another four years because his actions and inactions are an indictment to the NPP�, he stressed. Ohene Ntow underscored the need for the NPP to elect a more disciplined, responsible, respectable, and responsive person as General Secretary ahead of the 2016 general elections. In a sharp rebuttal however, David Osei who was not enthused by the reaction of Nana Ohene Ntow said the former general secretary could go to court if he thinks the allegations leveled against him was not true. He disclosed that the response by Ohene Ntow in the media would not clear him of the allegations if he thinks it is not true that he took away party vehicles before leaving office, but rather the court. He said however that the allegations are true as Ohene Ntow took away some party vehicles and other properties when he was leaving office as the general secretary. �When Mr. Asiedu Nketia, the General Secretary of the NDC made similar allegations against Josiah Aryeh, he threatened to go to court because he did not take any party vehicle and I think Ohene Ntow can take a cue from that�, he said. David Osei was however hopeful that Ohene Ntow cannot go to court because the allegations that he took some party vehicles are true and there is available evidence.
