If Nana Addo Should Be NPPs FlagbearerThen National Chairman Must Be A Northerner

Former Communications Director of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akomea says the elephant fraternity now needs to elect a Northerner as its party chairman if two-time presidential candidate Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will be retained to lead the party. Rooting for Paul Afoko, who is aspiring for the National Chairman position as his preferred choice, he explained that, the duo (Nana Addo and Paul Afoko) can work hand-in hand to heal the wounds and foster unity in the party. If Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo should become the partys flagbearer for the 2016, then our (NPP) party chairman should not be an Akan. It will be proper and beneficial to the NPP that the chairmanship position of the party goes to Paul, he said. Adding, I am very sure and have the feel that Nana Addo will once again lead the party in 2016. Speaking on Asempa FM, the former NPP MP extolled the praises of Paul Afoko for his broad based support across the country, his immense contributions to the party and his ability to communicate in several Ghanaian langauges. All these will make the NPP more attractive to many more Ghanaians. This shows inclusiveness and regional balance, he said.
