To be on a safer side, almost every candidate vying for an executive position within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is trying harder to paint a picture which tells a story that he or she is a confidant of Nana Akufo Addo, claims the Managing Editor of the Daily Searchlight newspaper.. According to Mr. Ken Kuranchie, it is likely Nana Akufo Addo will carry the day when the NPP visits the polls to elect a flagbearer and this has forced most of the candidates who were once not considered to be from his camp to change their position. In an interview with Okay FM, Mr. Kuranchie disclosed that before the party recently elected their Ashanti Regional Chair, both Mr Kwame Osei Prempeh and Bernard Antwi Boasiako, two contestants, claimed to on the side of Nana Akufo Addo just to woo voters. He added that as the NPP prepares to elect new executives this coming weekend, the results of the polls will determine whether indeed those who portrayed themselves as close pals of Nana Akufo Addo profited from that association.
