The Devil And Its Agents Manipulating Ghanas Economy

The head pastor of Last Stop Prayer Ministry, Prophet Julius Atarchie, has descended heavily on opposition elements and social commentators who have attributed the countrys ailing economy to poor governance urging a ceasefire on grounds that the misfortune has spiritual dimensions which have been overlooked. According to him, the devil and its agents are responsible for the dwindling economic fortunes of the country, simply put; Lucifer is manipulating Ghanas economy and it is time religious faithful turned to God. Speaking at the launch of activities to mark the Easter festivities Prophet Atarchie, averred that let no man blame President John Dramani Mahama for all the bad things that are happening to the country because the devil is responsible for Ghanas woes. The head pastor of Last Stop Prayer Ministry advised the government to be careful of the people around the president since, according to him, some of his cronies are responsible for the unpopularity of his administration. In every human setting there is a Judas, so as far as we have Judas kinds who have found their way to the Presidency and are trying to make his administration ungovernable and unpopular, Mr. Mahama should be very vigilant, he contended. The Pastor advised Ghanaians to contribute their quota to the development and sustainability of the economy, saying let us all change our attitude at work places, some of the public servants go to their offices and spend their time on unproductive ventures such as facebooking and chatting on mobile phones. Prophet Atarchie attributed the suffering of Ghanaians to greediness, insensitivity and selfishness on the part of power brokers. As a country, our government goes to the West with cup in hand, but the more we go for alms, the poorer we become, vindicating the point in the Bible that there is more blessing in giving than taking, he said. Touching on the Easter and the lessons to be learnt from it, he said the occasion is all about sacrifice, thus, the rich should assist the poor and those that are perishing. Speaking on the theme 'Life Without Jesus Is Dangerous. which will start from April 10 to April 22, 2014, he said Ghanaians should use the Easter season productively and do things that will benefit the country as a whole and desist from all sorts of social vices. Easter is not meant for drinking and merry making, it is the time that we need to take a sober reflection of our lives, what can we offer to our country as Jesus offered his life to mankind, he stressed.
