Kofi Adjorlolo Honoured As Nollywood Legend

Ghanaian Actor Kofi Adjorlolo has been honoured as a Nollywood Legend by the African Actors Recognition Awards (AARA), an American based entertainment promoter of the Nigerian film industry. The award was in recognition of his professionalism and talent in the several Nollywood movies he has starred in. The veteran could not hide his excitement at the honour , especially as the award was brought home to him, due to his absence at the event, held last year September. I have had the opportunity to receive some few awards in Ghana, but am yet to be celebrated as a legend in my home. So being the only Ghanaian to be honoured by a scheme meant for the Nollywood actors makes me feel so elated. It is a sign that I have made an impact, which is worth appreciating and I thank God for that, he stated in an interview with the General Telegraph. Other actors honoured at the event, which came off in Minnesota included Olu Jacob, Kanayo o. Kanayo, Pete Edochie, Ngozi Ezeonu, Silva Jacobs, Chiwetalu Agu, Kenneth Okonkwo, Ramsey Nouah, Eucharia Anunobi, Jim Iyke, Aki & PawPaw, Emeka Ike, Stella Damascus and John Uche. The AARA Nollywood Legends Award was created as a non-competitive event that bestows awards on actors and other industry professionals, in appreciation of their talent, work and contributions to the industry. The first Annual AARA Nollywood Legends Award ceremony was the culmination of three days of glamour and festivities, to celebrate the Nigerian film industry.
