I Really Thank God For Saving My Life Kwabena Agyapong

Newly elected General Secretary of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwabena Agyapong is thankful to God for saving his life after a near fatal accident just four (4) days to the NPPs national delegates conference held in Tamale. According to him, despite surviving the accident, he doubted his existence at the conference ground due to pains, but that was made possible by God and the medical staff at the 37 Military Hospital. At a point in time, my hope for going to the conference ground was shattered but by Gods grace and the Doctors at 37 Hospital, I was there. I really thank God for my life and all those who wished me well on my hospital bed, he said. Kwabena Agyapong was campaigning for Kwadwo Owusu Afriyies position as the next NPP chief scribe when he had the accident on the Accra-Kumasi road. At the just ended NPP delegates conference to elect new national executives to lead the party, Kwabena Agyapong polled 2,529 votes to emerge the winner as the new General Secretary whereas the then incumbent Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie also known as Sir John polled 1990. Speaking on Peace FM's kokrokoo programme, the newly elected NPP chief scribe lauded the delegates for understanding his philosophy that will ensure a victory for the party in the next general election come 2016. He however called on both former and incumbent executives to help push the elephant from opposition to government. We should all show some love to unite the party and make it more attractive for victory in 2016, he said.
