Arthur K: Jake And Sir John Should Not Worry...There Is Life After Defeat

..I want to tell my brothers; Jake and Sir John not to worry because I know they would be bitter by now. I know how they feel because I had one vote (in the flagbearership contest in 2007), even though I campaigned for a whole year. I can tell them that there is life after defeat, says Dr. Kobina Arthur Kennedy. Those were the words of the New Patriotic Partys campaign Coordinator for election 2008, to the immediate past National Executives of his party. Speaking from his base in North Carolina,USA to NEAT 100.0 FM , in a telephone interview, Dr. Arthur Kennedy was of the view that both Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey and Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, past Chairman and General Secretary respectively have served the NPP to the best of their knowledge and strength as such should hold their heads high because their lose at the Delegates Conference, is not the end for them. Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey who run for re-election as the incumbent Chairman, in the just ended NPP delegates Conference held in Tamale polled only 66 votes as against the newly elected Chairman, Paul Afoko, who won by 2,034 votes. Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, the past Chief Scribe of the party also lost to Kwabena Adjei Agyapong by 539 votes. Though, the former Chairman of the NPP has expressed shock at the number of votes he had, he revealed that he habours no pain or grudge against anyone. No I am not in painsI am very well. This is a job application and I offered myself. I was not accepted, I am disappointed but I move on. I dont feel like Jake is a human being who has been rejected, so there is no pain for me, those were Jakes words after his defeat. Nonetheless, Dr. Arthur Kennedy has urged the former National Executives to come together to help win power for the party in 2016.
