A FETISH Priest has called on the public and the Christian community to carefully investigate the background of those calling themselves fetish priests and prophets before dealing with them to avoid being duped.
Togbe Zewuze, popularly called Great Zewuze who has his shrine at Suhum in the Eastern region, in an interview with the media said many innocent people had fallen victims in the hands of fake spiritualists who claim to have solutions to every problems on earth both physically and spiritually.
He said to bring sanity into the activities of spiritualists in the country, a number of regulatory bodies and groups have been formed with certificates of recognition given to members.
According to him, certificated members are regularly put on track at all times for him or her to operate within the law.
One of the bodies is Ghana Psychic and Traditional Healers Association where he is the secretary.
He called on the general public, especially, those practicing within the law, not to hesitate to report dubious and suspicious characters to the appropriate quarters for action to be taken to ensure sanity and protect innocent citizens.
He also spoke about impersonation by the same criminals who normally use the names and products of known and genuine practitioners to dupe innocent people.
He, therefore, called on the law enforcement agencies to assist in clamping down on the activities of those criminals in society.
