Bishop Emmanuel Botwey, General overseer of Christian faith Church International, has admonished young pastors to be humble in the discharge of their duties.
He also charged young pastors not to devalue any task assigned to them by their senior pastors.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony of the first batch of students of Mission Theological Seminary in Takoradi, Bishop Botwey asked the graduates to see themselves as vessels for the spreading of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Bishop Botwey observed that some renowned churches began as small churches and grew with time.
�I never knew my church, Christian Faith Church International (CFCI), will be what it is today because the church started in a classroom,� he revealed.
The Bishop noted that from its humble beginnings, CFCI had grown in size with 52 branches in Ghana and outside the country, adding �we now have branches in Holland, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.�
Bishop Botwey attributed the growth of his church partly to the support from the pastors he trained at the Bible School, who became good ambassadors for the church.
The General Overseer of CFCI, who is the chairman of the Inter-Party Dialogue Committee in the Western Region, advised the graduates to adhere to the principles of the church to enable them succeed in their pastoral work.
The Rector of Mission Theological Seminary, Pastor Robert Ghartey-Mould disclosed that the Bible School was established in September last year with 14 students.
The Rector, who is also the Founder and General Overseer of Covenant Life Mission Church, pointed out that the students were taken through various training, particularly evangelism.
