The Mangled Car Of Former Minister's Daughter (PHOTO)

AINA Ibrahim Quaigraine, daughter of former Minister of Food and Agriculture Ibrahim Adam, met her untimely death in a bloody car crash in Kumasi Saturday dawn. Aina�s dad, Ibrahim Adam, is the immediate past Board Chairman of the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) and was said to be making arraignments to airlift his daughter to Accra for further treatment when she gave up the ghost. The deceased was said to have sustained severe facial injuries when the Toyota Tundra she was traveling in rammed into a truck parked on the road around 5:20 am. Aina later died at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) while a medical team was doing everything possible to save her life. The deceased, who resided in Accra, according to reports, was in Kumasi to attend the wedding of a friend. Aina was said to be in the car with her husband, Charles Abiw Quaigraine. According to reports, Mr. Quaigraine, the General Manager of Afropa Ghana Limited, fell unconscious but started responding to treatment later on. The driver of the Toyota Tundra however escaped unhurt. The impact of the crash was so severe that the entire roof, doors and the windscreen of the Tundra were mangled, destroying the car beyond repairs. The Tundra was said to have turned and faced the opposite direction from where it was headed due to the impact of the collision. Aina was said to be seated at the exact part of the car the collision occurred and landed heavily on the road after the crash. Reports said Mr. Ibrahim Adam was by his daughter's bedside when she died. The paper later spotted a distraught Mr. Adams at the Golden Tulip Kumasi City Hotel on Saturday evening as scores of people visited the place to console him. Aina is survived by her husband and four children.
