Lord Doudu-Kumi, the man who some two years ago, accused Dr. Sam Jonah of many things, including the �vicious� demolishing of his US$1 million house has sprinted away from his claims against the knighted business mogul. The man, who had claimed that Dr. Jonah�s action, led to the death of his asthmatic daughter, has not been able to support his claims with the required evidence, has asked The Herald to apologize to the businessman. The Herald, prior to the publication of a series of stories, some of which were titled �Sam Jonah In Big Trouble for Demolishing $1 Million House� and �Sam Jonah is Vicious � Victim Cries Out� had cited a petition, Lord Doudu-Kumi, had sent to the late President, John Evans Atta Mills, asking the Presidency to deal with Dr. Jonah. Lord Doudu-Kumi, later visited the offices of The Herald with his lawyer, Celinnie Ngo-Pondi of Aequitas Law Firm, saying that the case between him and Dr. Jonah, had started during the regime of President, Jerry John Rawlings, and that the then President tasked the police administration to investigate the matter, where a case of forgery was established against Dr. Jonah. Lord Doudu-Kumi, alleged that Dr. Jonah had gone to Lands Commission to manipulate and faked documents just to have access to the parcel of land on which his (Lord Doudu-Kumi) US$1 million mansion situated at Cantonment- Accra, was bought through a mortgage agreement with the Unilever Ghana Limited. The man, who claims to be a businessman, further mentioned that the highly respected Lawyer, Adumuah Bossman as his counsel, who is fighting Dr. Jonah in court on his behalf. But years later, when Lord Doudu-Kumi, was pressed for some vital evidence, including claims that Dr. Jonah had been cited for contempt of court by an Accra High Court, he could not produce it, claiming his lawyer, Mr. Adumuah-Bossman, has refused to release the court records. Interestingly, however, The Herald�s lawyer, Mr. David Annan, was later to discover that the claims by Lord Doudu-Kumi and his female lawyer friend, Ceiline Ngo-Ponzi, could not be supported by the facts available, therefore, false. Lawyer David Annan, discovered that there had been a Supreme Court judgement against Lord Doudu-Kumi in the case. Meanwhile, The Herald through its lawyer, Mr. Annan is, therefore, taking the needed legal steps to render an unqualified apology to Dr. Jonah, over the publications done in September 2011, emanating from Lord Doudu-Kumi�s petition to the late President Mills. He had created the impression that Dr. Jonah was a big bully, using his ill-gotten wealth to terrorize innocent people.
