Black Stars Must Target 5 Points To Qualify From Group G - Sammy Kuffour

Ex-Ghana and Bayern Munich defender, Samuel Osei Kuffuor is exhorting the Black Stars to target 5 points from their three group games in Brazil to be able to secure qualification to the next round of the tournament. The Supersport TV analyst has warned Ghana to be extremely wary of all the opponents in the group because no match will come easy in group G. This week, an European-based firm Bloomberg Sports, which provides data driven match analysis and projections for all major leagues in Europe, predicted that Ghana will finish at the bottom of Group G but Kuffuor who played for Ghana in its Maiden appearance in Germany is touting the Stars to go unbeaten in the group. We know we wont find it easy against USA because of what happened in 2006 and 2010," Kuffuor said. "We know that Portugal will be really difficult because of the quality of the players that they have in their team. And, dont get me wrong about the mentality of the Germans. So, for us to just come out of it (the group) as Ottmar said, we need three points. Definitely that will favor us so that we can tune our minds and qualify for the next stage," Kufuor told Campionesport. The Black Stars secured six points in the group stage of Germany 2006 and 4 points was obtained in the South Africa 2010 edition.
