NPP Consoles NDC

The Ashanti Regional branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has expressed its condolences to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) following the demise of two officials of the ruling political party. Hajia Adiza Sali and Agnes Tia, the NDC�s Deputy Women�s Organizer for Greater Accra and Volta regions respectively, died in a crash on the Kintampo-Techiman Road while returning from the funeral of the sister of the First Lady, Lordina Mahama. Vivian Ankrah, the Greater Accra Regional Women�s Organizer of the NDC, survived the crash but was said to be in critical condition. She is currently receiving treatment at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra. Nana Ama Ampomah, the Ashanti Regional Women�s Organizer of the NPP, in an interview with Daily Guide, described the untimely death of the two NDC women organizers as unfortunate. The Ashanti Regional NPP Women Organizer said the death of the two hard working women had dealt a major blow to all women in Ghana, especially women in active politics. Nana Ama Ampomah prayed for the speedy recovery of the Greater Accra Regional Women�s Organizer, Vivian Ankrah. The NPP, especially the party�s women�s wing in the Ashanti region and Ghana at large is shocked over the passing of the two top NDC women, who were championing the cause of women in the country. Nana Ama Ampomah said God would be with the deceased persons in these trying times. Nana Ama Ampomah prayed fervently to God the Almighty to strengthen the bereaved families and the NDC so that they could overcome the anguish. She gave assurance that the NPP would play a crucial role in ensuring a befitting burial for the deceased persons.
