Businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome says he is unperturbed by Wednesday�s ruling by the Financial Division of the Fast Track High Court, dismissing his submission of no case. The court ordered Mr. Woyome to open his defence on May 5. However, in an interview with journalists after the ruling, Mr. Woyome said he is excited by the opportunity granted by the court since it will give him the platform to tell Ghanaians exactly what happened prior to the payment of the Ghc51.2 million judgment debt. �I think that this opportunity which has come will give me a court room opportunity to be able to tell the good people of this country about what happened from the beginning�then Ghanaians would understand and take a cue from me that no matter the situation, the constitution of this country must be protected and each individual must stand firm,� Mr. Woyome said. The court, presided over by Justice John Ajet-Nasam, two weeks ago, adjourned judgment to today, because of ill health. Mr. Woyome had filed a submission of 'no case' in the ongoing Ghc51.2 million judgment debt trial. State prosecutors said Mr. Woyome, in February 2010, made a false representation leading to the award of some judgment debt to him over the rehabilitation of the Kumasi, Accra and El-Wak stadia ahead of the 2008 African Cup of Nations.
