Dont Use Schools For Church Services

Captain Rtd Anthony Cudjoe, the Sekondi/Takoradi Metropolitan Chief Executive has called on the churches not to use schools buildings as a place of worship in rural communities. He has therefore called on assemblies to ensure that school facilities were not used as churches. He said the use of schools as places of worship had often led to the destruction of school properties such as tables and chairs, as well as exposing the school environment to criminal activities. Captain Cudjoe gave the warning during a handing-over ceremony of four school projects to various contractors. During a site inspection, it was observed that all the four proposed sites had banners indicating one church or the other. The assembly is financing the construction of the four school projects under the Urban Development Grants-financial assistance allocated to assemblies believed to be performing creditably.
