MCE Urges Polytechnics to Develop Entrepreneurial Minds

Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Nzema-East Mr. James Atta Kakra Baidoe has charged Polytechnics to unearth the entrepreneurial skills of students to become self-employed after their course to earn a living. He therefore advised them to pursue relevant career development which will make them competitive on the job market. Mr. Baidoe, who is also a teacher by profession, said this to climax the week-long celebration of the Cape Coast Polytechnic branch of the National Association of Nzema students at Cape Coast in the Central Region. The occasion was on the theme, Employment and Career Development;:The Role of Tertiary Students" The MCE advised them to take their education seriously and feed their minds with the relevant information that will enhance their professional acumen. Mr. Baidoe told the students to use the knowledge and skills acquired to establish their businesses no matter how small it may be. He advised the association of unemployed graduates to discard that notion and be enterprising enough to earn a living than to put the entire burden on government which can lure them into anti-socio economic and developmental acts. The Assistant Headmaster in charge of Academics of the Mfanstipim senior high school Mr. John C.Attipillar Akpor, asked students not to allow their background to be a stumbling block in the pursuit of their education. He appealed to them to work towards their chosen career and go back to impact knowledge acquired to develop Nzema land.
