Okraku Mantey Is Not God Bull Dog

Music Producer Mark Okraku Manteys advice to the newly crowned Artiste of the Year, Shatta Wale, has not gone down well with Bull Dog, Shattas manager. His advice was that the only way Shatta could last in the music industry was for him to focus on sustaining his career rather than making hit songs which fade away in no time. Bull Dog has challenged the rationale and logic behind the advice from Mark saying: Mark is not God. He cannot tell what song will make it and what will not make it. With his experience Im hoping that he will learn something about Shatta Wale and not condemn, him, Bull Dog stated. According to Bull, the Artiste of the Year Winner at the just-ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) is one of the very few musicians in Ghana who give commentary about their life experiences in their songs. I dont agree with Okraku Mantey if he says Shattas songs will not last. Look they are still being played and enjoyed everywhere you go. Shatta Wale has a lot of songs that are timeless. Songs that he recorded about four years ago are still lingering on. There are some songs that were for six months and that is business, he added. However, Bull Dog who admitted that Okraku Mantey was one of his mentors in the field of artiste management, urged him to go beyond the Shatta Wale songs being played on radio and do a thorough research on the artiste before making such baseless arguments.
