Bernard Mornah has lauded the government for organizing an Economic Forum which saw several Ghanaian economic experts and dignitaries in action, deliberating on how to national issues. The National Economic Forum begun last Tuesday, May 13 and ended on Thursday, May 16 and was aimed at bringing a section of the Ghanaian society together to dialogue and offer solutions to the challenges confronting the economy. During the economic forum which was held at Senchi near Akosombo in the Eastern Region, several economic experts shared in-depth knowledge about how the incessant economic crises could be resolved. Though the forum was intended to find new ways to develop the nation, some people objected to its relevance claiming it was a waste of State resources. The opposition New Patriotic Party boycotted the event on grounds that the forum was merely a "PR gimmick calculated to keep the people of Ghana in the dark about the real state of the economy.� Nonetheless, Bernard Mornah, the General Secretary of the People's National Convention (PNC) on Peace FM's morning show "Kokrokoo" commended the Mahama government for organizing the forum. According to him, unlike previous comments by some political figures and socio-economic commentators that it was not worthwhile, the organizers and participants accomplished its purpose. Despite accrediting the government, he however hoped traders and mechanic experts among other able Ghanaians were included in the forum. This notwithstanding he was grateful to the government because to him, the forum saw into play several dignitaries sharing their diverse ideas which when adopted can remedy the Ghana's economic situation.
