Airtel Staff To Hit The Runway In Charity Fashion Show

Their key job is to provide telecommunication services but on the side, Airtel Ghana and their staff have built schools, dug boreholes, and constructed medical facilities and a host of other philanthropic gestures across the country. For their next project, staff of Airtel Ghana have decided to hit the catwalk to raise money for their next staff-driven initiative. Airtel Catwalk for Charity is an eagerly awaited event where underground buzzing young designers will come together for the purpose of raising funds. The event which has a two prong CSR objective is to first to raise funds internally through Airtel Staff, family and friends under the company�s internal CSR campaign called Make a Difference Day (MADD). The funds raised will go along way purchase e-readers like the kindle. The kindles which is an e-reader which will assist in eradicating illiteracy by making books more accessible using the e-readers to give students in marginalized communities access to the books they need to succeed in school. Airtel and World Reader, an NGO, will work with schools and communities to create self-sustaining, scalable reading programmes. The other objective of this show is to unearth young entrepreneurial talent designers such as Ameyo, Threadex, M&K Wear, Shika Clothing, Eye Candy, Seyi Jones, Mystic Beads by Mercy as well as Adoley Clothing. This will be done by showcasing their wear while giving them a platform to express their creativity. Complimenting these designers will be up and coming make-up artist such as Pixie Dust, Lumarj and Shades by Dede. The exciting part is unveiling these designs while outdooring for the first time Airtel Ghana�s Friday wear cloth. The evening's highlight, the catwalk show, will feature clothing designs from these designers and an exotic make up by the make-up artists. Strutting the runway will be supermodels from Airtel Ghana. This unique event will be held at the forecourt of Airtel Ghana�s Office. 3 lucky guests will win accessories worth 20,000k. On the day will be socialites, fashion representatives, selected VIP�s to mingle, network, unwind and most especially raise funds for the charity.
